San Luis Obispo County was selected as the World Travel & Tourism Council’s first ever Destination Spotlight under their new sustainable tourism initiative. As part of this global feature, Visit SLO CAL worked to create content that resonates on a world stage—highlighting the region’s community-rooted sustainability practices, cultural stewardship, and environmental commitment. The WTTC’s Destination Spotlight series showcases destinations that are aligning economic growth with social and ecological responsibility—and SLO CAL now serves as a model for destinations worldwide aiming to inspire both B2B and industry audiences.
